Author brief introduction

Xu Liping, was born in Hubei, Peking University, Cornell University, visiting scholar America, director of the Asia Pacific China Academy of Social Sciences, social and cultural research laboratory, graduate tutor, director of the Asia Pacific Society China. The main research areas: Asia Pacific Society and culture, politics and international relations in Southeast Asia, non traditional security etc.. The main works include: "the equator emerald -- Indonesia" (City University Hong Kong press, 2005), "Asia extreme forces" (Social Science Literature Press, 2007), "Contemporary Islam in Southeast Asia: development and challenge" (Current Affairs press, 2008).
